When Mom and Dad said I was allowed to go to Europe this summer to visit Jade and her family, I was very excited!
Woo Hoo! I am going to see Jade!
I got my own debit card with euros on it!
Mom seemed ok about me flying by myself to Paris, but I saw her get tears a few times.
Dad kept me excited though!
Mom and Dad had to wait until my plane took off, so while they waited we waved and texted each other! I was in the window seat, three seats to the left of the first exit window over the wing. The flight wasn't bad, except for this crotchety old man in front of me that kept accusing me of kicking his seat. I wasn't, but I wanted to after those comments!
Finally I got to Paris and the hug I got from Jade was worth the flight!
My time in Paris was a whirlwind of sightseeing. We saw the Eiffel Tower, ate sandwiches at the Louvre, walked along the Seine, played in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral, rode the metro, and even bought myself a beret!

The metro stations are decorated in unique ways, each one is different.
We also went to this great museum in Paris called La Cite des Sciences in La Villette park. It was so neat and there was so much to do! I didn't even care that everyone was speaking French!
We had a quick lunch of pasta in a box, and pom-potes, then back to the fun!
Zip line for two at La Villette.
Wheee!
There was also a neat exhibit where we learned what it was like to be in a wheelchair and we had to go through this difficult obstacle course, going uphill, down ramps, open doors, make a phone call, roll over various surfaces, etc. It was tough and interesting!
Pizza in a French restaurant!
Then we drove to northern France and went to Parc Asterix, a really fun amusement park!
These are Getafix's golden sickle and his magic potion.
I feel like I'm flying!
Ice Cream, delicious in any country!
That waffle is bigger than Octave's head!
Jade grew A LOT over the year! (especially her feet!)
Apparently so did mine!
Now this is just plain fake.
Jade demonstrates how to ride a French river raft ride.
Here we are with Obelix and Asterix.
We went out for crepes on Bastille Day, but the creperie wasn't very good. Ludivine's crepes were so much better!
Matching BFF shirts are a must in Europe!
Riding a carousel down memory lane.
Cool graffiti fish.
My feet in Europe.
I thought this sign meant, "no parents or children" but I think it means "hold your child's hand".
Hedwig's alive!
We spoke parsel tongue to this snake but she wouldn't come out to play.
Huge tortoise just hanging out.
Pigwidgeon was here too.
We went to a family wedding in Belgium, and this llama with the rockin' 'do was at the reception.
I didn't understand a word they said, but it was a beautiful ceremony.
Nice car! Beautiful bride!
After the wedding, we drove through the Netherlands on our way to Jade's home in Berlin. One day, we drove to the country in Germany to meet Jade and Octave's new puppy, Big Boy. On the way there, we had to ride on a car ferry because the road just stopped at the river.
While we waited to meet Big Boy, we met some other dogs at the breeder's house.
Here he is, Big Boy! He is a pug and as cute as can be! I love how he is hugging Octave.
They can't wait to bring Big Boy home, and I will have to come back to visit him!
This is a drive-thru house in Germany. "Two Hamburgers please"
The smurfs are really big in Europe.
Jade's playroom where we had a blast!
Playmobil is always a fun time.
Making crepes at Jade's house.
They were delicious!
Jade's and Octave's Armory where we practiced our archery.
Arquin the rabbit
Tara the other rabbit
We visited Jade and Octave's school so I could see what it looked like.
Jade and Octave go past this sign every day on the way to school and think of me! So we had to have a picture of it! I had such a great time on my trip! I can't wait to go back!
